The robustness of the digital labels is crucial for the material selection process in outdoor environments. You have to choosea material that can stand up to it and not disintegrate. Rightint did a test to determine which materials would outlast the previous 5 years in the outside area. We now see what the strongest materials actually are.
How We Tested the Materials
Ourtest here covered several of the outdoor digital label materials commonly used. We tested durability on types of material suchas vinyl, polyester and polypropylene. All the materials were subjected to sunshine, rain and all that outdoor weather tosee how they weather.
How LongWill Your Digital Labels Last in the Outdoors
The duration of the tenure of digital labels outside is dependent on the substance. Outdoor vinyl labels are very durable and will lastup to 5 years being outdoors in general how ever theycannot be exposed to high temperatures. Polyester label rolls inkjet (which are fine andthey last for 3 to 4 years. Polypropylene labels, which are weaker, are good for a maximum of 1 to2 years outside.
Searching forThe Strongest Material
We also learnt that if you wantan outdoor label, then the vinyl inkjet labels rolls are easily the most durable. The vinyl labels are not easily faded, torn or peeling, so it is best for out days. Polyester labelsare also fantastic for outdoors but won’t last quite as long as the vinyl ones.
They test how materials hold up over time
To see how tough they are, we left each material out side and in the elements for a long time. We also looked for signs of fading, peeling and tearing to gauge how well they held up. Testing the materials helped us learn which ones are best for outdoor use.
Choosing the Right Material for Your Outdoor Labels
When selecting materials for your outdoor labels, make sure to pick something durable that will hold up against the elements. Owings: Plastic labels are much more durablethan paper as they are tear and fade-proof making them perfect for long-lasting external labels. Polyester labels also work well but don’t hold up as long as vinyl. Polypropylene labels are thinner and can survive a year or two outdoors.
Ultimately, the tensile strength of the material is critical when choosing a suitable material for permanent outdoor digital labels. The most durable choice are vinyl labels, that withstand outdoors up to 5years. Polyester labels are fine, but they’ll not be as durable asvinyl. Polypropylene flexo label paper are less durable and usually last 1 to 2 years onlyoutdoors. Whatever you choose to use for your outdoor labels, make sure it’s a durable agent that can survive the elements and hold for long. Rightintmaterials are superior and long-lasting.
